Do you have any resources for where we can find the good brands?

Hi Chloe,

Todd Shelton and Rachel Slade have been keeping lists of American made brands. https://toddshelton.com/blog/about-todd-shelton/made-in-america/american-made-clothing-brands

Perhaps I should do a follow up post on what to look for. Here is a blog I wrote that tells you some of the marks of quality to look for in a garment - there are no certifications for quality. The more a brand lists certifications, the less I trust them. https://senzatempofashion.com/a/blog/sustainable-fashion-myths

One thing I look for in general - whether it's beauty, food, linens, or fashion and I have tried to find small, independent companies. Small brands who don't have investors are typically more focused on craftsmanship. They will not be at the mercy of investors who typically force brands to cut corners. We've seen this in the luxury sector for years now (it was one of the reasons that prompted me to launch my brand). I'll try to do a follow-up post on some other things I look for, but I think this is the easiest rule of thumb. It's how I shop! I hope this helps :)
